Rotary and Friends Feed Haiti this month
Dear Club Presidents, Secretaries, Assistant Governors and District Leaders: The Rotary Club of El Dorado and Rotary District 5690 are proud to announce participation in a service project phenomenon developed by one of their own, Rick McNary. Mark your calendars now for Wednesday, December 29th from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for “Rotary and Friends Feed Haiti,” hosted by the El Dorado Rotary Club and District 5690 with Numana, Inc. at the El Dorado Civic Center. Rotarians, friends and families of District 5690 will gather together on the 29th to package a container of food -- 261,000 meals -- to send to the Cap-Haitien Rotarians for distribution in Lambert, Haiti, near the north coast. This is the same area clubs have supported with contributions of sun ovens, a solar powered water well, computers, bicycles, etc. Numana, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) international hunger relief organization whose mission is to empower people to save the starving.
