51st Anniversary of El Dorado Tornado

Dear Rotarians,

David Stewart reports that the tornado memorial has been refinished to all of its original glory. Please put Wednesday, June 10, 2009 on your calendar. That is the first anniversary of the memorial dedication and the 51st anniversary of the tornado. The Rotary Club will hold its weekly meeting that day at the memorial in Graham Park. We will enjoy a picnic lunch. Afterwards, we will also take a group picture in front of the memorial.

That evening, Rotary will hold a short prayer service at 5:45 P.M. at the memorial. The service is open to the public. A special invitation will go out to the relatives and friends of the tornado victims. Rotarians are encouraged to attend.
