I am sending this early but wanted you all to have the information. You may want to bring a guest. This week’s Rotary program is Brian Stucky, from Goessel, Kansas. Brian’s area of expertise is in pioneer trails in central Kansas. He was invited in August 2012 to speak to the National Convention of the Oregon-California Trails Association . He has done research on the Cherokee trail that came through El Dorado and will be telling us about the early trails and beginnings of El Dorado . He is also the author of "Hallowed Hardwood; Vintage Basketball Gyms of Kansas." Bernie Spradling b1spradling@sbcglobal.net
Roger and I grew up together and enjoyed watching our kids run cross country and track for El Dorado Middle and Senior High School. Most of us XC parents have numerous, wonderful photo memories that Roger captured for us as he would ride he course on his bike during cross country meets. He has left a marvelous legacy for his son and daughter. My thoughts and prayers are with Luci, Dottie, Greg, Rick and family.
