Tornado Memorial

Dear Rotarians,

At the conclusion of the Rotary meeting today, a winning name was drawn in our Rotary Foundation fundraiser. Herb Llewellyn was the lucky winner in the drawing of the picture collage of the Tornado Memorial. As City Manager, Herb has agreed to display the pictures at the City Building so that the entire community can enjoy viewing it.

My thanks go out to the 32 members who participated in the Fundraiser. $548.00 was raised for the Rotary Foundation. Articles will be submitted to the local newspaper and the Rotary District #5690 newsletter. Thanks to everyone for making this fundraiser a huge sucess..

I am sending this early but wanted you all to have the information. You may want to bring a guest. This week’s Rotary program is Brian Stucky, from Goessel, Kansas. Brian’s area of expertise is in pioneer trails in central Kansas. He was invited in August 2012 to speak to the National Convention of the Oregon-California Trails Association . He has done research on the Cherokee trail that came through El Dorado and will be telling us about the early trails and beginnings of El Dorado . Dynamic Discs presents at Nov. 16 meeting

Dear Rotarians, Join us this week to welcome our newest member Ashley Sandstrum as she is inducted into Rotary. Last week we heard from Annette Gurney (Badway) from the US Attorney’s Office. She had some pretty interesting case pictures that she shared with us. This week: Dixon Jowers with Dynamic Discs will be here. They are the designer for the course.
