Dear Rotarians,
Last week: Nikki Woodrow, Wichita Police Department and organizer of the Four Legged Project spoke about ballistic vests for canine officer.
This Week: Brooklyn Hamilton, Miss Frontier 2016 and Miss Kansas Contestant will be with us.
And Jay will do a quarterly report.
Rotarian of the Day is Chase Locke.
Disc Golf Project – Your Rotary Board has decided to support the Disc Golf Project. This is towards the construction of an 18 hole disc golf course to the East of BG Products Football Stadium. So far, we would like to raise funds for the purchase of the “baskets” which would cost about $7000.00. The vision of the board is that our Rotary Club would be a future sponsor of the course, have some Rotary name recognition and help the city move forward on the project. The “course” would also have an accessible walking trail for all to use. The target for completion is sometime in 2017.
As Rotary members you have a say in whether or not we as a club move forward with the project. Let me know if you have concerns about our support of this endeavor. You can convey any questions through me or other members of your Rotary board.
See you at Noon Wednesday in the Welcome Center on the Butler Community College Campus.
